The only bit of television I watch is Hustle every Friday. Not only do I enjoy the drama and the 'revelation of the confidence trick at the end', but I also try and work out where in Birmingham each outdoor scene if filmed. However, this Friday I had an extra bit of entertainment, because Nick J. Townsend, a well-known character around Kidderminster, played 'Feddy the Face'...

One of my pet hates of the press is hiding the source of their data. The Guardian, the BBC (and others) are exemplary at sharing their data and/or links to the data, but for our local rag, The Shuttle, they seem to think 'we shouldn't worry our pretty little heads about it'.

I have made a little improvement to the 'Agenda. From now on you can view a month of blogs or if you are brave, a year of blogs. Of course, although I have been blogging since June 2004, I have only uploaded recent blogs into the new version database. However, here you go, these months have been done so far, enjoy...

A significant portion of our heritage is stored away in paintings owned by the people of Kidderminster, Stourport, Bewdley, Wyre Forest etc. Most of the paintings were part of the Kidderminster Museum art collection which were transferred to Bewdley Museum in 1990. There are quite a few, but here is one I enjoy.

You could say that the weblog of the Wyre Forest Liberals was the forefather of the 'Agenda. I picked up the idea of writing a weblog from Mike Oborski who was regularly writing the Wyre Forest Liberals on the mo'time platform. After Mike's passing, Fran took over. Then mo'time changed and their weblog was moved to the Italian Splinder platform...

Yesterday I attended the public gallery of the Overview & Scrutiny Committee at Civic Hall, Stourport. This could well be the last council meeting I observe in this country. The meeting was exclusively about the Travellers Sites, specifically to accept the results of the consultation and process new sites discussed previously through the LDF Panel.

I'll admit that local use of Facebook is quite powerful. It can booster a campaign; it can put you into jail; and it can inform others of how well you are getting on with Farmville. However it seems local use of Facebook also gives us the 'word-on-the-street'. I was interested to see the following comments on Kidderminster town centre (shops) following a photo on the Kidderminster Past Facebook page:

Today the annual tradition of a ceremony to tribute the victims of the holocaust was held at the Holocaust Memorial outside St. Mary and All Saints Church. This is a fitting and dignified tribute to those who suffered under Nazi oppression and other oppressors since.

Back in July last year I revamped the 'Agenda to make it more automated. This makes it easier for me to write blogs and it should make it easier for me to add and modify the site. However, I only recently re-instated RSS. The RSS feed:
