In 1910 Eric Knight stood as Captain but I think in 1918 he stood as Major Eric Knight. At the time when he enlisted there was a recruiting office for the Worcestershire Yeomanry in Wolverley and in 1897 he moved into the village. It would be interesting to know if there was any link between all these facts.
